I was sharing with my sister how I was seeing God in everything, even more so since I started writing this blog. She commented back, “it’s because you’re looking.” I find myself snickering out loud when I see how I can relate something to my walk with God, or when I see how cleverly he is moving within my life.
This morning, because I am still on Missouri and Kael time, I was up early so I cracked my Bible and enjoyed some God time. A song that we sing at church keeps coming up in me this morning. The words are:
The more I seek you, the more I find you.
The more I find you, the more I love you.
Oh God, you amaze me!
I was reading a friends blog and she wrote something I wanted to steal so bad. Well, steal is a naughty word; borrow, or adopt would be better here. On the side of her blog is a small “About me” section, just like on this blog. Hers reads:
Daughter to an awesome God, wife to an amazing husband, mother of 4 adorable blessings who sometimes is allowed the time to share thoughts and stories with the general populace of the blogging world, hereafter referred to as you. ~ www.specialedswife.blogspot.com
Daughter to an awesome God! This makes me smile and I can feel my love tank start to fill. God, the more I seek you, the more I find you. The more I find you, the more I love you. I am the daughter of an awesome God!
During my morning with my Father, he took me in his word to two scriptures that tied right in with the song that was already playing in my heart. I opened up to Psalms chapter nine verse 10 and read David singing:
And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; for You, Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You.
I rejoiced at reading this and then I flipped back a few pages and this next verse jumped off the page and hit me right in the face!
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good testimony. By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible. Hebrews 11: 1-3
But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Hebrews 11:6
In Romans it reads:
Through Him we have also obtained access by faith into His grace in which we stand, and rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Romans 5:2
So how do you get this ‘faith’ you ask? Jump forward in Romans with me a few chapters to Romans 10:17:
So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of God.
We are so blessed that we have more resources to get into his word and develop our faith then have been available in all of time. Life gets busy, trust me, I know! Don’t hesitate; He is the source of life. If you seek Him, you will find Him, and when you find Him, you will love Him. Jesus is the author and the perfector of our faith. (Hebrews 12: 2)
Praising God for you this morning! If there is anything I can be praying for you about, please don’t hesitate to bless me by asking.
Xoxo,
Ronda
